As automation and artificial intelligence reshape how service organisations operate, one Finnish startup is aiming to redefine the software foundation these companies rely on. Agileday, a technology company building a people centred operating platform for professional services, has closed a new funding round that will accelerate its expansion across Europe and North America.

A €6.4 Million Series A to Fuel Global Growth

Agileday has secured six point four million euro in Series A funding. The round was led by Newion with participation from Specialist VC, Vendep Capital and Business Finland. The investment represents a significant milestone for the young company and signals growing demand for modern professional services automation platforms.

Founded in 2022, Agileday was created by Jaakko Hartikainen, Mikko Virtanen, Jaakko Hallavo and Hannu Kärkkäinen. The founding team previously worked together at Tieto and used their collective experience to identify the structural challenges that prevent services organisations from scaling efficiently.

A Modern PSA Platform Built on Transparency and Talent

Agileday has developed a professional services automation platform that unifies talent management, project delivery and financial performance into one connected system. Positioned between traditional CRM tools and financial systems, Agileday integrates timesheets, resource allocation, project financials and skills data into a single source of truth.

This unified approach allows professional services firms to synchronise sales pipeline forecasting, delivery execution and financial visibility. Artificial intelligence supports cross functional coordination by identifying opportunities, optimising utilisation and ensuring teams are allocated based on both skills and personal preferences.

Hartikainen, co founder and co CEO, says the platform is designed to help companies grow while creating a work life people genuinely value. He emphasises that combining project data, financial metrics and human capabilities into one transparent platform unlocks productivity and supports healthier, more balanced work environments.

Solving the Scaling Challenges of Services Organisations

Professional services companies often struggle with operational fragmentation. Sales teams track potential deals in CRM systems, project managers plan delivery in separate tools and finance teams rely on disconnected spreadsheets to monitor performance. These silos slow decision making and create misalignment across functions.

Agileday aims to eliminate these barriers by consolidating all operational data into a single operating model. This integration provides real time visibility from opportunity to delivery, allowing organisations to plan staffing more intelligently, reduce underutilisation and prevent bottlenecks.

AI driven insights help leadership teams anticipate capacity needs, improve forecasting accuracy and identify gaps that would otherwise be hidden in isolated tools.

Serving a Global Base of Professional Services Firms

Agileday already works with more than seventy service companies worldwide. Its customers range from high growth consultancies to publicly listed enterprises that are seeking more modern, data driven operating systems.

As services organisations adopt AI driven workflows at a faster pace, the need for a unified, people focused operating layer has grown. Agileday’s architecture positions it to support this new era of services delivery where transparency, speed and integrated intelligence are essential.

Expansion Across Europe and North America

With the new investment, Agileday plans to scale its technology platform, deepen its artificial intelligence capabilities and expand its market presence in Europe and North America. The funding will also support product development as the company continues to refine its operating model for the next generation of services businesses.

As the professional services industry undergoes its most significant transformation in decades, Agileday aims to become the infrastructure layer that helps firms operate with greater clarity, efficiency and humanity.
