Sparkli has raised five million dollars in pre seed funding to advance its multimodal learning engine and expand global access. The investment marks one of the largest early funding rounds for an AI based education platform for children, signalling strong investor belief in the need for a more engaging and holistic approach to digital learning.
The funds will support the growth of the platform’s generative learning engine and preparations for a private beta launch.

Sparkli aims to transform how children explore ideas by replacing static lessons with dynamic, real time exploration. Using a multimodal AI system, the platform transforms questions into immersive learning journeys that blend different disciplines, real world context and hands on creative tasks.
Instead of watching videos or consuming predefined content, children interact with experiences that adapt to their interests. Topics such as sustainability, design thinking, global cultures, financial literacy and basic technology concepts are woven into personalised pathways.
Sparkli’s founder and chief executive Lax Poojary says the platform was created to give children more agency in how they learn. He explains that Sparkli is meant to turn screen time into an environment that strengthens curiosity, independent thinking and problem solving.

Sparkli’s learning model is built around three fundamental shifts in childhood education. First, children move from fixed curricula to open exploration where questions spark deeper investigation. Third, the focus shifts from memorisation to creativity and discovery.
The platform builds an evolving profile for each child by tracking interests, prior knowledge and preferred ways of learning. This allows Sparkli to create increasingly personalised learning experiences over time.
Safety and age appropriateness are also core principles. The product incorporates design patterns tailored to younger learners and includes safeguards to ensure healthy engagement.
A Team with Deep Experience in AI and Education
Sparkli was created by a team with backgrounds at Google Area 120, Search and YouTube, along with engineers and designers who have contributed to research and education initiatives at institutions such as ETH. The platform integrates generative AI with pedagogy, motion design and child focused game mechanics to create learning environments that are both effective and emotionally engaging.
The company combines technical expertise with an understanding of how young minds develop, aiming to make AI a helpful guide rather than a replacement for human instruction.
Early Validation Through School Partnerships
Sparkli is currently being piloted in partnership with a large international private school group, offering access to a network of more than one hundred schools and more than one hundred thousand students. This strategic pilot is helping validate how the platform performs in structured learning environments and provides insights that will shape the upcoming private beta.
The pilot also demonstrates the significant interest among schools in technologies that support more creative, adaptive and inclusive approaches to learning.
