GameByte, an AI-powered game creation platform, has raised $1 million in pre-seed funding at a $10 million valuation, marking a significant step forward for the young startup aiming to democratise game development. The round was led by Webrazzi GSYF, the venture arm connected to media and tech investment group Webrazzi, with legal advisory support provided by Arıkan Law Firm. The fund, established in partnership with İş Portföy, has previously backed emerging technology companies and is expanding its portfolio across consumer-facing innovation.
Founded in January 2025 by Can Erdoğan (CEO), Oğuz Sandıkçı, and Fırat Gürsu, GameByte’s core mission is to enable anyone from professional developers to complete beginners to create mobile games using simple text prompts. The platform uses a proprietary AI engine to transform user prompts into fully playable game experiences within minutes, eliminating the need for manual coding or asset creation.
AI-Driven Development with End-to-End Output
Unlike many tools that generate limited prototypes or visual mock-ups, GameByte’s system creates fully formed interactive content. This includes:
- Game logic and mechanics
- In-game objects, animations and visual assets
- Player interactions and environment rules
- Complete game flow and level structure
This capability allows developers and studios to rapidly prototype, test, iterate and evaluate performance far faster than traditional development pipelines allow. GameByte’s workflow is designed to reduce production time from weeks or months to hours, lowering the cost and risk of experimentation and enabling quicker market validation.
“The goal is to make game creation as easy as writing a prompt — and accessible to everyone,” said CEO Can Erdoğan, who also confirmed that the new investment will be used to expand the platform’s capabilities and open access to global users. “This is just the beginning. We are scaling GameByte into a platform for anyone in the world who wants to make games.”
Building Toward Release-Ready Games
While the current version of GameByte excels at prototyping and generating playable ads, the long-term vision extends further: to allow creators to build release-ready games entirely with text prompts. To get there, the company plans to:
- Support additional genres, including puzzle, simulation, hyper-casual and mid-core styles
- Expand to new platforms beyond mobile
- Improve asset fidelity and animation precision
- Strengthen physics and systems modelling for more complex game mechanics
The underlying AI models continually evolve through performance feedback, enhancing the platform over time. As more users create games, the system refines its decision-making, improving art direction, pacing, interaction logic and optimisation for gameplay performance.
Future of Live Operations and Post-Launch Support
In addition to upfront development, GameByte plans to introduce a live-operations automation, a feature intended to support studios after launch. Using the same prompt-based interface, creators will eventually be able to generate:
- New levels and quests
- Seasonal content and events
- Item systems and reward paths
- On-demand expansion packs
This could give small teams the ability to maintain and grow live games at scale, without requiring large content teams or specialised pipelines.
A Bet on the Future of Game Creation
GameByte’s headquarters in Kadıköy, Istanbul, serves as the creative hub where its founding team continues to refine the technology. The fresh funding will be used to expand AI infrastructure, scale engineering and design teams, and drive international growth.
As AI becomes more deeply integrated into creative production, GameByte’s approach represents a shift in how digital content is built, trading traditional development barriers for accessible, generative tools that give more people permission to create. For the mobile gaming sector, which thrives on rapid iteration and creative experimentation, this technology could reshape the early stages of development and make room for a broader pool of innovators.
With its pre-seed round secured, GameByte is positioned to accelerate toward a global launch and define a new category of AI-assisted game development, where imagination, not technical expertise, becomes the starting point.
