As the hospitality industry races to modernise operations and meet rising guest expectations, one company is positioning itself at the centre of this transformation. Mews, a leading provider of cloud based hospitality management software, has secured a major funding round that will bring advanced automation, AI and fintech infrastructure deeper into hotel operations worldwide.

A Landmark $300 Million Series D

Mews has raised three hundred million dollars in a Series D round led by EQT Growth, with new investors Atomico and HarbourVest Partners joining the cap table. Existing investors including Kinnevik, Battery Ventures and Tiger Global also participated. The round values the company at two point five billion dollars, reinforcing its reputation as one of the most influential technology providers in global hospitality.

The announcement follows a period of strong momentum for Mews, including its fourteenth acquisition, DataChat, a generative AI analytics platform. It also builds on its seventy five million dollar raise earlier in 2025 which supported international expansion and product growth.

A Complete Cloud Native Operating System for Hotels

Mews has built a cloud native platform that serves as an end to end operating system for hotels. Its modular suite integrates core functions such as property management, point of sale, revenue management, housekeeping, payments and guest facing tools into a single environment.

This approach allows hoteliers to automate time consuming tasks, personalise guest experiences and centralise operational decision making. With more than fifteen thousand properties using Mews worldwide, the platform is reshaping how hotels handle everything from check in to housekeeping to revenue optimisation.

Chief executive Matt Welle describes the company’s vision as creating an operating system that removes operational complexity so hotel teams can focus on guest experience and profitability. He emphasises the role of automation in eliminating routine work while unlocking richer, more personalised service.

A Record Year of Growth

The surge in demand for modern hospitality technology is reflected in Mews’ performance. In 2025, the platform reached more than one hundred thirty two thousand monthly active users across eighty five countries. Hotels using Mews processed forty two point three million check ins and managed nineteen point seven billion dollars in transaction volume through the platform.

Hoteliers also generated five hundred thirty seven million dollars in additional revenue using Mews Spaces, the company’s flexible inventory and revenue management feature that enables dynamic use of physical hotel space.

Founder Richard Valtr highlights that the company’s momentum demonstrates the market’s appetite for an AI enabled operating system. He notes that hospitality is fundamentally an experience driven industry and Mews aims to give hotels the tools they need to deliver richer and more profitable experiences.

Investor Confidence in an AI Driven Future

Kirk Lepke, Partner at EQT Growth, says Mews is building a modern hospitality platform that resolves the fragmentation that has long challenged the industry. He emphasises the company’s leadership in AI and agent based systems which are becoming increasingly essential as hotels face rising complexity and staffing pressures.

The company’s recent acquisition of DataChat further strengthens its analytics and generative AI capabilities, supporting the development of autonomous workflows and real time insights for hotel operators.

Scaling Payments, Fintech and AI Across Global Markets

Looking ahead, Mews plans to deepen its fintech infrastructure, scaling Mews Payments and embedding commerce capabilities throughout hotel operations. The company will also accelerate expansion across North America and Europe while entering additional markets.

A major portion of the new capital will be directed toward AI innovation. Mews intends to integrate agent based systems across its platform to automate complex tasks, reduce staff workload, improve guest interactions and speed up product development.

A New Era for Hotel Technology

With its latest funding milestone, a growing global footprint and a platform designed around automation and intelligence, Mews is setting the foundation for the next chapter of hospitality technology. The company’s vision blends operational efficiency with human centred service, positioning it as a core infrastructure provider for the hotels of the future.
