ETFBOOK Targets the Data Gaps Behind the World’s ETF Boom

ETFBOOK is raising fresh capital at a time when the exchange traded fund industry is becoming more global, more complex and increasingly dependent on reliable data. The ETF data and analytics company, operated by SquaredData AG, has secured $13 million to expand its platform into the Americas and Asia Pacific, while broadening the information and tools available to financial market participants.

The funding round was led by Expedition Growth Capital, with participation from existing investor BlackFin Capital Partners. ETFBOOK plans to use the investment to strengthen its international presence, deepen its datasets and accelerate the development of analytics and artificial intelligence capabilities.

Addressing Fragmented ETF Data

ETFBOOK provides data infrastructure and analytics for the global exchange traded fund market. Its platform brings together information from multiple sources and converts it into a standardised format that can be used across investment, trading and fund administration workflows.

The company serves a broad range of market participants, including ETF issuers, fund administrators, market makers, authorised participants, asset managers, wealth managers and hedge funds. These organisations rely on accurate and consistent information to compare funds, analyse market activity, manage operations and support investment decisions.

ETF data is often distributed across different providers, formats and systems. This fragmentation can make it difficult for institutions to reconcile information, maintain internal databases and build applications that depend on consistent fund data. ETFBOOK’s platform is designed to address this issue by providing a centralised source of structured information.

Three Connected Product Areas

ETFBOOK’s offering is organised around three main areas: Data, Analytics and Workforce.

The Data product provides access to standardised ETF information through application programming interfaces, allowing clients to integrate the information into their own systems and applications. The Analytics offering delivers market intelligence through ETFBOOK’s web application, giving users tools to explore and interpret ETF information.

The Workforce product focuses on ETF data operations. It allows clients to combine verified ETF data and workflows with their own information or third party sources. This structure is intended to help institutions manage repetitive data tasks while retaining control over their internal processes.

Preparing for ETF Market Growth

The company’s expansion plans come as the global ETF market continues to grow in both size and product diversity. ETFBOOK estimates that worldwide ETF assets under management have reached $25 trillion and could approach $35 trillion by 2030.

The launch of new funds is also increasing the volume of information that financial institutions must monitor and reconcile. More than 1,300 new funds have reportedly launched across Europe and the United States so far in 2026, adding to the complexity of maintaining current and comparable market datasets.

As the industry expands across regions, investors and service providers need data that can support different markets, regulatory environments, fund structures and trading practices. ETFBOOK intends to extend its coverage to meet those requirements.

Adding Artificial Intelligence

ETFBOOK is also developing an AI conversational layer for its products. In addition, the company has created AI tools to support data ingestion, processing and distribution.

The company says its architecture is designed to automate core operations without requiring employee numbers to increase at the same pace as business activity. By automating parts of the data lifecycle, ETFBOOK aims to improve scalability while expanding the depth and breadth of its coverage.

Building an International Presence

The new funding will support the addition of more ETF markets and deeper datasets, as well as expanded analytics within the company’s web platform. ETFBOOK is also establishing a US entity and a New York office, alongside building a team in Hong Kong.

Further hiring is planned at the company’s Kraków delivery hub. Through these investments, ETFBOOK aims to combine regional market access with its existing technology and operational capabilities as it expands beyond the EMEA region.

The company’s broader objective is to provide the data infrastructure needed by an increasingly international ETF ecosystem, helping financial institutions work with more consistent information and more automated workflows.

ETFBOOK’s expansion reflects a wider shift in financial markets toward data platforms that can support both human analysis and AI driven applications. By combining standardised datasets, web based analytics and operational workflows, the company is seeking to make ETF information easier to access, compare and integrate as the industry enters its next phase of global growth.
