Maintaining focus has become an increasingly difficult challenge in today’s digitally connected world. Constant notifications, information overload, and the growing influence of the attention economy are making sustained concentration harder for individuals across workplaces, classrooms, and everyday life. As businesses seek new ways to improve productivity and employee wellbeing, interest is growing in technologies that help people strengthen cognitive performance rather than simply monitor it. Swedish neurotechnology startup BRYM is developing wearable brain sensing technology designed to train focus through real time neurofeedback, and the company has now secured fresh funding to accelerate the development of its platform.

BRYM has raised €650,000 in a pre seed funding round led by Singapore based family office Lotus One Investment, with participation from global early stage venture capital firm Antler.

The investment will support the development of the company’s proprietary wearable EEG technology while expanding commercial deployment across European markets.

Turning Brain Activity Into Actionable Training

Founded by Charlie Ohlén and Nils Hagberg, BRYM is developing a wearable neurofeedback platform designed to help users improve concentration and cognitive resilience.

The company combines electroencephalography technology with software that measures brain activity during focused tasks and transforms this information into practical cognitive training.

Rather than viewing attention as a fixed ability, BRYM believes focus can be strengthened through continuous practice supported by measurable feedback.

Its long term vision is to create what the company describes as a digital gym for the brain, making cognitive training more accessible for individuals and organisations alike.

Using Neurofeedback to Improve Performance

BRYM’s platform uses wearable EEG sensors together with gamified neurofeedback experiences.

Users receive real time insights into their cognitive performance while completing interactive exercises designed to strengthen concentration over time.

The combination of neuroscience, wearable technology, and game based learning aims to make cognitive improvement both measurable and engaging.

By providing immediate feedback, the platform encourages users to develop stronger mental resilience while maintaining higher levels of sustained attention.

The company believes this approach can support improved performance across a wide range of professional environments.

Early Success in Manufacturing

BRYM has initially focused on the automotive manufacturing industry, where maintaining concentration is essential for operational safety and production quality.

During early pilot programmes with automotive manufacturers, the company reported significant reductions in operator errors following adoption of its neurofeedback platform.

These early deployments demonstrate how cognitive training may contribute not only to individual wellbeing but also to measurable improvements in workplace productivity and operational performance.

The company believes many industries can benefit from technologies that strengthen human performance through scientific measurement and training.

Expanding Into New Markets

While manufacturing remains BRYM’s first commercial focus, the company plans to expand into additional industries where sustained concentration plays an important role.

Future target markets include education, professional sports, and workplace wellbeing.

The company believes wearable neurotechnology can help students improve learning, athletes strengthen mental performance, and organisations enhance employee productivity through structured cognitive development.

Its broader objective is to make EEG based brain training more widely available beyond specialist healthcare environments.

Scaling Wearable Neurotechnology

The newly secured funding will support the design, development, and manufacturing of BRYM’s proprietary EEG headband.

The company plans to expand enterprise deployments across Europe while building a scalable subscription based business around its wearable platform.

As advances in wearable technology, neuroscience, and artificial intelligence continue reshaping digital health, demand for solutions that improve human performance is expected to grow. By combining real time brain monitoring with interactive neurofeedback training, BRYM aims to help individuals strengthen focus, improve cognitive resilience, and unlock higher levels of mental performance through accessible everyday technology.
