FRYTE Mobility Secures €3.5M to Power the Future of Electric Freight

Munich based technology startup FRYTE Mobility has closed a €3.5 million Seed funding round to expand its software platform connecting electric truck logistics with charging infrastructure. The latest financing brings the company’s total funding raised to €5 million.

The round was co led by 4impact capital and Rethink Ventures, with participation from existing investors Revent, F LOG, accilium ventures and a group of angel investors.

FRYTE is developing an open software infrastructure designed to coordinate the operational requirements of electric truck fleets with the availability of charging stations. Its objective is to make charging more predictable for transport operators while helping charge point operators achieve better utilisation of their infrastructure.

Connecting Two Sides of the Problem

Electric truck operations depend on reliable access to charging, but logistics and energy systems have traditionally operated separately.

Transport management systems can plan routes and deliveries without knowing whether a suitable charging station will be available at the required time. At the same time, charging operators may have limited visibility into when trucks will arrive, how much energy they will require and how long they will occupy a charging point.

FRYTE aims to bridge this gap by connecting logistics platforms with Charge Point Management Systems, allowing information to flow between transport planning and charging infrastructure.

From Route Planning to Charging

The company’s software connects different systems using open industry standards, including OCPI. By combining tour planning with charging requirements, FRYTE enables fleets to identify charging opportunities in advance and reserve suitable charging slots.

The approach is designed to provide fleet operators with greater certainty around charging while giving charge point operators more predictable demand.

FRYTE’s platform can operate across multi provider charging environments, which is important for transport companies whose vehicles may travel across regions and national borders.

The company is building the infrastructure as an open coordination layer rather than limiting operators to a single charging network or hardware provider.

Early Commercial Validation

FRYTE says its technology is already being used in operational pilots and has processed more than 200 end to end bookings.

These bookings cover the complete process, from dispatcher planning through driver execution and confirmation by the charge point operator. The company is using these deployments to refine its reservation functionality and strengthen integrations with charging infrastructure providers.

Its partners and pilot customers include TRATON Charging Solutions through MAN Charge & Go, logistics company FIEGE, Fraport AG, Energie Südbayern and Dettendorfer Energy.

Preparing for eTruck Growth

The new investment comes as electric heavy duty transport moves toward wider adoption across Europe. Falling battery and vehicle costs, tightening emissions requirements and growing charging infrastructure are creating stronger incentives for logistics companies to move away from diesel.

However, the transition requires more than installing additional chargers. Fleet operators need charging to become part of the transport planning process so that energy requirements can be considered alongside delivery schedules, driving times and routes.

FRYTE believes this coordination layer will become increasingly important as the number of electric trucks on European roads grows.

Expanding the Platform

The €3.5 million Seed round will be used to expand FRYTE’s commercial team and deepen integrations with charge point operators and their Charge Point Management Systems.

The company will also continue developing its reservation capabilities while expanding the transport management side of its platform.

FRYTE’s longer term goal is to create a common digital infrastructure connecting logistics companies, charging operators and energy systems. Rather than requiring businesses to replace their existing software, the startup aims to connect the systems they already use and allow them to exchange operational information.

As electric freight scales, FRYTE is positioning its platform as the coordination layer that could help ensure trucks arrive at chargers when capacity is available, while charging infrastructure gets a clearer view of future demand. The company now has fresh capital to turn that vision into a larger European commercial operation.
