The investment attracted participation from SODENA, SEGO Venture, Izertis Ventures, and several family offices connected to the industrial, agricultural, and innovation sectors. Alongside the private financing, the company has also secured commitments to support future investment rounds.
In addition, FuVeX has obtained €400,000 in public funding through Spain’s Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology to advance a defence focused research and development programme.
Developing Advanced Dual Use Drone Technology
Founded in 2013 by Carlos Matilla, FuVeX designs, manufactures, and operates long range unmanned aerial systems capable of serving both commercial industries and defence organisations.
The company’s technology combines proprietary aircraft, operational software, and artificial intelligence powered analytics to automate the inspection and monitoring of critical infrastructure.
Its integrated platform enables customers to collect high quality operational data while reducing inspection times, lowering operational costs, and improving worker safety by limiting exposure to hazardous environments.

The company has already inspected more than 36,000 kilometres of electricity transmission infrastructure through collaborations with major energy operators including UFD and Endesa.
Building on this experience, FuVeX plans to inspect approximately 70 percent of Spain’s electricity distribution network by 2027.
