Venture capital firms are increasingly adapting their investment strategies to support startups through longer growth journeys as founders face a more competitive global market. Beyond funding, entrepreneurs are looking for investors that can provide international networks, operational expertise, and long term support from early growth stages to global expansion. Against this backdrop, White Star Capital has announced the final close of its latest flagship fund, strengthening its ability to invest in ambitious technology companies building products for international markets from day one.

White Star Capital has completed the final close of White Star Capital Fund IV at $250 million.

Combined with its inaugural North American Seed Fund, launched last year, and several special purpose investment vehicles, the firm has raised more than $350 million in fresh capital to support startups from Seed through Series B financing stages.

The new capital reinforces White Star Capital’s commitment to investing in globally ambitious technology companies while expanding support for founders throughout their growth journey.

Expanding a Global Investment Platform

Founded more than twelve years ago, White Star Capital has grown from a small team operating across New York, Montreal, and London into an international venture capital firm with more than 50 professionals working across eight offices.

Today, the firm’s global footprint extends across New York, London, Montreal, Toronto, Paris, Milan, while continuing to strengthen its presence in Berlin, the Middle East, and Asia.

This international network enables White Star Capital to support portfolio companies as they expand into new markets and scale globally.

The firm’s investment philosophy centres on identifying founders capable of building internationally competitive businesses while leveraging deep knowledge of their local ecosystems.

Investing Across Growth Stages

Fund IV represents White Star Capital’s continued focus on investing in exceptional technology companies during the Series A and Series B stages.

Alongside its dedicated Seed strategy, the firm is now positioned to support founders throughout multiple stages of company development, providing both financial backing and strategic guidance as businesses mature.

The investment strategy remains focused on companies with strong products, ambitious leadership teams, and the potential to establish category leadership across international markets.

The firm believes successful technology businesses increasingly require global thinking from the earliest stages of development.

Building a Diverse Technology Portfolio

Over the years, White Star Capital has invested across a wide range of technology sectors while supporting companies operating in Europe and North America.

Its portfolio includes businesses that have established leadership positions across industries including consumer technology, healthcare, financial technology, mobility, manufacturing, and enterprise software.

Among its investments are companies such as Butternut Box, Vention, Petfolk, Numan Health, FINN, Flare, Ledn, and Spiko.

The firm has also led investment rounds in a number of emerging startups including Sequen, Veesion, OatFi, AMI Labs, Tetrix, and Trayd.

To date, White Star Capital reports completing 22 successful exits from a portfolio of more than 100 companies.

Supporting International Expansion

White Star Capital believes today’s market environment demands more than access to capital alone.

As startups increasingly expand across multiple regions, founders require investors capable of providing operational expertise, international connections, and practical support throughout scaling challenges.

The firm’s investment approach focuses on helping entrepreneurs navigate expansion across borders while maintaining disciplined growth strategies and long term value creation.

By combining global reach with local market knowledge, White Star Capital aims to help portfolio companies compete successfully on an international stage.

Backing the Next Wave of Technology Leaders

Technology entrepreneurship continues to evolve as founders increasingly build companies with global ambitions from their earliest stages.

Venture capital firms are responding by developing broader investment platforms that combine funding with strategic guidance, operational expertise, and international market access.

With the successful close of Fund IV and more than $350 million in newly raised capital, White Star Capital is well positioned to support the next generation of high growth technology companies. Through continued investment across Seed, Series A, and Series B stages, the firm aims to help ambitious founders transform innovative ideas into globally recognised businesses capable of shaping the future of multiple industries.
