Reebuild Bags €3 Million to Make Construction Administration Faster and Smarter

Construction projects depend on precise budgets, timely payments and accurate records, yet many companies still manage essential financial tasks through spreadsheets, emails and manual paperwork. Vienna based construction technology startup Reebuild wants to change that by bringing artificial intelligence into the administrative work behind building projects. The company has raised €3 million in seed funding to expand its AI powered platform, develop additional automation tools and enter more European markets.

The funding round was led by Fortino Ventures, with participation from Rise PropTech and Curiosity VC. The investment will help reebuild strengthen its technology, expand its presence beyond Austria and Germany, and grow its team in Vienna as demand increases for more efficient construction and real estate operations.

Tackling Construction’s Administrative Burden

Construction companies and property developers manage large volumes of documents throughout a project. Invoices, delivery notes, order confirmations, contracts and cost records must be checked, matched and approved before payments and financial reports can be completed.

When these processes rely heavily on manual work, delays can build up across departments. Finance teams may spend hours checking documents, project managers can struggle to access current cost information, and inconsistencies between orders, deliveries and invoices can make budget control more difficult.

Reebuild is developing software to automate these repetitive tasks. Its platform is designed to convert documents into structured data, connect related records and provide businesses with a clearer view of project finances.

AI That Processes Documents and Matches Records

The platform uses AI to extract information from invoices and other business documents, including scanned records. It can match related documents, compare financial information and recalculate invoice corrections, helping reduce the manual effort required to process transactions.

Reebuild also uses AI agents to prepare tasks and recommend the next steps in a workflow. Rather than handing every decision to automation, the system keeps approval decisions with employees while handling much of the document processing, matching and calculation work.

This approach aims to combine faster administrative operations with human oversight, an important consideration when financial approvals and project budgets are involved.

Faster Invoices and Shorter Approval Cycles

According to the company, its technology can reduce invoice processing time from more than 20 minutes to around three minutes. Approval cycles that previously took approximately five days can be shortened to about one and a half days.

Customer feedback also points to potential procurement cost reductions of up to 20 per cent. These figures are company reported outcomes and may vary depending on a customer’s processes and project requirements.

Faster processing can help construction businesses obtain a more timely picture of expenses, identify discrepancies earlier and spend less time managing routine paperwork. More accessible financial information may also help teams spot budget pressures before they become larger project problems.

Serving More Than 8,200 Projects and Sites

Reebuild reports that it currently serves more than 120 companies across over 8,200 construction sites and projects. Its platform has processed invoices worth more than €530 million, demonstrating the scale of financial administration it is designed to support.

Founder and CEO Alexander Kornell says the company develops its software closely with customers and their day to day operations. He has argued that many construction businesses continue to use administrative software that has changed little over decades, even as expectations around speed, transparency and efficiency have risen.

Expanding Across Europe

The new funding will support reebuild’s expansion into additional European markets beyond Austria and Germany. The company also plans to develop more AI powered modules covering project estimation, on site documentation and accounting.

These additions could extend automation beyond invoice processing into a broader range of commercial activities throughout a construction project. The objective is to reduce fragmented workflows and make financial and operational information easier to manage.

Building an AI Native Construction Back Office

Reebuild’s latest funding comes as construction and real estate companies look for ways to improve productivity without adding more administrative complexity. Its next challenge will be to expand internationally while demonstrating that its technology can deliver consistent results across different businesses and workflows.

By automating routine financial tasks and connecting project records, reebuild aims to give construction teams more time to focus on delivery, cost control and decision making rather than paperwork.
