Funding to Address Industrial Bottlenecks
The investment round was led by FORWARD.one, with participation from University2Ventures and Tensor Ventures. The funding will support Edmund’s plans to expand its team, scale across European and US markets, and further develop its AI driven platform.
Founded in 2023 by Jakub Szlaur, the company is tackling a growing structural challenge within manufacturing, where increasing system complexity is colliding with a shrinking pool of experienced engineers.
A Sector Under Pressure
Manufacturers today are dealing with highly data intensive production environments, yet many are struggling to maintain operational efficiency due to workforce shortages. Across Europe, tens of thousands of engineering roles remain unfilled, while a significant portion of the current workforce is expected to retire within the next decade.
This imbalance has left many companies reliant on fragmented documentation, legacy systems, and institutional knowledge to keep operations running. As a result, diagnosing technical issues often takes hours or even days, leading to costly downtime and increased operational risk across supply chains.
In many cases, up to 80 per cent of downtime is spent identifying the root cause of a problem rather than fixing it.

This approach significantly accelerates troubleshooting. Edmund claims its platform can reduce the analysis phase by up to 90 per cent, turning processes that once took hours or days into tasks completed within minutes.

The technology is already demonstrating measurable results in industrial settings. At Amcor Flexibles, Edmund’s system reduced average repair times by 26 per cent, saving approximately 440 man hours annually per factory.
By shortening downtime and improving diagnostic accuracy, the platform helps manufacturers maintain productivity while reducing operational costs.
The system is also hardware agnostic, meaning it can integrate with a wide range of industrial equipment and existing infrastructure without requiring major changes.
