Smarter Software, Better Robots: Kinematic Trees Bags £585K Pre Seed Round

Kinematic Trees has raised £585,000 in pre seed funding through a round backed by Haatch via its SEIS Fund, the D2N2 Early Stage Angel Investment Fund, and the British Business Bank Syndicate Fund.

The investment will support continued product development, strengthen the company’s engineering capabilities, and accelerate commercial expansion across the United Kingdom and international markets.

Building Software That Works Across Robots

Founded in 2025 by Dr Stuart Wilson and Daniel Camilleri, Kinematic Trees is developing a robot agnostic software integration platform that enables advanced robotics applications to operate across different hardware systems.

Rather than building software for individual robots, the company has designed an intelligent integration layer that captures robotics expertise in reusable software components.

These modular capabilities can be combined, adapted, and deployed across multiple robotic platforms, helping developers and manufacturers create sophisticated automation systems without repeatedly building software from the ground up.

The company believes this approach can significantly reduce development complexity while improving scalability.

Inspired by Natural Intelligence

Kinematic Trees has based its platform on principles inspired by natural intelligence, enabling robotic systems to become more adaptable as they learn and evolve across different environments.
