Monumental has raised $32 million in a Series B funding round led by Khosla Ventures. Existing investors Plural and Hummingbird also participated in the financing, reinforcing their support for the company’s long term vision of bringing intelligent automation to the construction sector.
The new investment will be used to expand Monumental’s engineering capabilities, increase robot deployments across Europe, strengthen its presence in the United Kingdom, and prepare for market entry into the United States.
Tackling Construction’s Labour Shortage

The company currently operates a fleet of more than 150 autonomous robots deployed on construction projects in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.
Its technology has contributed to the construction of more than 100 homes, along with schools, hotels, community centres, and canal infrastructure.
Nearly half of those residential projects were completed within the past three months, highlighting the rapid pace at which the company is expanding its deployments.

Expanding Internationally
With fresh funding secured, Monumental is preparing for its next stage of international growth.
The company has recently strengthened its United Kingdom operations through the appointment of a dedicated country manager and continued expansion of its local team.
