Europe’s industrial economy is filled with businesses that keep factories, logistics networks and construction projects running, yet many still depend on fragmented software and processes built for an earlier era. Eindhoven based OWOW Venture Studio is betting that some of the biggest technology opportunities are hidden inside these traditional industries, raising €2.65 million to create and accelerate startups focused on manufacturing, OEMs and other industrial markets.
Fresh Capital for New Ventures
OWOW Venture Studio has secured €2.65 million from eight family offices and angel investors. The capital will be deployed over the coming years, with individual investments expected to range between €100,000 and €250,000.
The studio plans to add at least three new ventures to its portfolio every year for the next three years. It will support both companies created internally and startups founded by external entrepreneurs who need capital, product expertise and industry access to accelerate their growth.
The venture studio is based in Brainport Eindhoven, one of Europe’s major technology and manufacturing ecosystems. OWOW says its focus is Europe and particularly businesses where its existing industry relationships can help startups reach customers quickly. (OWOW Ventures)
Targeting Industrial Technology
OWOW is concentrating on B2B opportunities across manufacturing, OEMs, logistics, construction and related sectors. Its areas of interest include software as a service, artificial intelligence and physical AI applications that connect software with machines and industrial environments.
The studio believes traditional industries offer significant opportunities because many companies still rely on disconnected systems and manual processes. Instead of building technology for markets that are already heavily digitised, OWOW wants to identify problems inside industries where digital transformation remains incomplete.
Its approach is based on working closely with people who understand these sectors from the inside. The studio says it looks for founders with deep domain expertise who have first hand knowledge of problems that outsiders may not easily identify. (OWOW Ventures)
Capital Plus Product Expertise
The venture studio model goes beyond writing a cheque. Startups working with OWOW can access its product development capabilities, including developers, designers and engineers.
The organisation says more than 45 product experts are available to support portfolio companies from the beginning, helping teams move from an initial concept to prototypes and commercially testable products.
OWOW also brings an established business network. The studio says its wider organisation has worked with more than 500 active clients over 14 years and has a network of more than 5,000 business professionals across the Brainport region and beyond. These connections can potentially serve as early customers, commercial partners or investors. (OWOW Ventures)
Proof Before Building
A defining part of OWOW’s model is its emphasis on market validation. For industry insiders who have identified a problem but have not yet built a company, the studio offers a process designed to test whether the problem is commercially worth solving before committing to a full venture.
For existing founders, OWOW can join as a co founder, bringing its own capital, product team and industry relationships.
The studio says its objective is to help ventures establish customer proof early rather than spending long periods developing products without market validation.
First Investments Underway
OWOW Venture Studio formally launched in late 2025 and has already made two investments. One is Eindhoven based Synthgen, which develops synthetic data for training AI models used in robots and machines. The other is UK based Caddy Clubhouse, a platform focused on connecting golfers with caddies.
The two investments reflect OWOW’s broader strategy of backing businesses that combine technology with specific real world markets.
Building an Industrial Startup Pipeline
The new funding gives OWOW resources to expand that pipeline over the next three years. Rather than focusing exclusively on conventional software startups, the studio is looking for opportunities where AI and digital products can address operational problems in industries that form the physical backbone of the economy.
With capital, product development, AI expertise and an established industrial network under one roof, OWOW is positioning its venture studio as a launchpad for startups built around real industry problems.
The ambition is straightforward: find problems that insiders understand, validate them with customers and then build companies capable of modernising the industries where those problems exist.
