PDKINEMATICS Raises €2M to Strengthen Europe’s Drone Defence Ecosystem

As military forces across Europe accelerate investments in unmanned aerial systems, precision has emerged as one of the defining requirements of modern battlefield operations. Lithuanian defence engineering company PDKINEMATICS is working to address this gap through advanced precision guidance technologies, and the company has now secured fresh funding to expand production and deployment across Europe.

PDKINEMATICS has raised €2 million in a Seed funding round co led by Coinvest Capital and Iron Wolf Capital. The round also attracted support from defence focused angel investors and experienced technology entrepreneurs.

The investment will be used to scale manufacturing capabilities, expand deployments in Europe and Ukraine, and accelerate the development of the company’s precision guidance technologies.

Meeting the Demands of Modern Warfare

The defence landscape is changing rapidly as NATO allies and European governments place increasing emphasis on drone capabilities.

Recent military developments have demonstrated the effectiveness of unmanned systems in reconnaissance, surveillance, and precision strike missions.

However, while drones have become more accessible and scalable, precision guidance technology has not evolved at the same pace.

Many existing guidance systems were originally developed for large aircraft programmes and expensive defence projects, making them difficult to adapt to modern drone operations.

PDKINEMATICS was established to bridge this gap by creating guidance systems specifically designed for today’s battlefield requirements.

The company focuses on delivering precision, scalability, and affordability within compact systems suitable for widespread deployment.

Flagship Product Designed for UAV Operations

At the centre of the company’s portfolio is Gannet, a low size, weight, power, and cost precision guidance system developed for unmanned aerial vehicles.

The technology enables operators to conduct missions at significantly higher altitudes while maintaining accuracy.

According to the company, Gannet allows drone deployed munitions to be released from heights of up to 700 metres, substantially increasing operational flexibility compared with traditional unguided alternatives.

The system has been engineered to remain resistant to electronic warfare interference and is designed to operate effectively in challenging environmental conditions.

Its platform agnostic architecture allows integration across a wide range of UAV platforms, enabling manufacturers and military operators to adopt the technology quickly.

Battlefield Validation and Strategic Partnerships

PDKINEMATICS has already achieved significant commercial and operational milestones.

The company has entered into a strategic partnership with Bavovna.ai, one of Ukraine’s leading manufacturers of bomber class unmanned aerial vehicles.

Through this collaboration, the company’s guidance systems have been integrated into operational drone platforms and deployed in real battlefield environments.

The successful deployment has established a framework for broader adoption across Ukraine and NATO aligned defence programmes.

Beyond Ukraine, PDKINEMATICS has also partnered with Italian UAV manufacturer SiraLab as part of its wider European expansion strategy.

These partnerships are helping the company strengthen its position within the rapidly growing defence technology ecosystem.

Expanding a Broader Defence Technology Portfolio

While Gannet remains the company’s flagship product, PDKINEMATICS is also developing additional technologies aimed at improving UAV effectiveness.

Its research and development efforts include a proximity fuse designed for armoured target engagement and integration into loitering munitions and interceptor platforms.

The company is also building a portfolio of counter electronic warfare technologies designed to improve operational resilience in contested environments.

These innovations are intended to provide drone manufacturers and defence integrators with advanced components that enhance mission effectiveness while remaining suitable for large scale deployment.

Supporting NATO and European Defence Readiness

PDKINEMATICS recently achieved another important milestone when its systems were selected for Iron Wolf 2026, Lithuania’s largest international military exercise.

The selection provided validation of the technology within a NATO standard operational environment and highlighted growing interest in precision guidance solutions.

Looking ahead, the company aims to become a leading provider of precision guidance technologies for NATO aligned UAV manufacturers.

With fresh funding, battlefield validated technology, and an expanding network of strategic partnerships, PDKINEMATICS is positioning itself at the forefront of Europe’s rapidly evolving defence technology sector. As demand for advanced drone capabilities continues to grow, the company is seeking to play a key role in delivering the precision systems that modern military operations increasingly require.
