As artificial intelligence reshapes how companies sell, a new Berlin based startup is targeting one of the most overlooked gaps in sales operations, turning insights into consistent performance improvement. Zell has secured €500,000 in fresh funding to scale its platform that automates coaching, monitoring, and execution for modern sales teams.

Backed by Global Investors

The funding round was co led by P3 Ventures, SkyDeck Europe, UC Berkeley SkyDeck, Lendlease, and Cariplo Factory. It also attracted a group of international angel investors and venture capital firms, including Mamba Ventures and several experienced operators and investors from across Europe.

This diverse backing highlights growing interest in AI driven solutions that can directly impact revenue generation and operational efficiency.

Bridging the Sales Execution Gap

Founded by Alberto Garagnani and Moritz Beck, Zell was created to address a persistent challenge in sales organisations. While companies have access to large volumes of performance data through customer relationship management systems and conversation intelligence tools, they often struggle to translate that data into actionable improvements.

Zell’s platform is designed to bridge this gap by adding an intelligent execution layer on top of existing sales technology stacks. Instead of simply analysing performance, it actively helps teams improve it.

AI Driven Coaching and Monitoring

At the core of Zell’s offering is its ability to analyse sales calls, identify behavioural patterns, and generate personalised coaching plans for individual team members. This allows organisations to automate performance improvement while maintaining continuous monitoring of progress.

The platform effectively takes on many of the operational responsibilities traditionally handled by sales managers, such as reviewing calls, identifying weaknesses, and providing targeted feedback. At the same time, it ensures that strategic decision making remains in human hands.

By making these processes scalable, Zell aims to reduce the reliance on manual effort while improving consistency across teams.

Building a New Category in Sales Technology

Zell operates within a rapidly evolving global market where artificial intelligence is transforming sales management. The company is positioning itself as part of a new category of AI native systems that support the entire sales performance lifecycle, from diagnosis to continuous improvement.

This approach goes beyond traditional tools by combining data analysis with automated execution, enabling organisations to not only understand their sales performance but actively enhance it in real time.

The platform has already been validated by enterprise and scale up clients across multiple markets, including the United States, Germany, Italy, and Spain. Customers such as Pack, Revenue Excellence Partners, Commerciali Digitali, Ladle, and HomeTown are using the system to optimise their sales operations.

Scaling Across Europe

With the new funding, Zell plans to accelerate its commercial growth and expand its team across both technology and sales functions. The company will also continue to develop its AI engine, enhancing its ability to deliver more precise and impactful recommendations.

Geographic expansion is another key priority, with plans to grow beyond its current presence in the DACH region and Italy into broader European markets.

The Future of Sales Management

As businesses seek to increase efficiency and drive revenue growth in an increasingly competitive environment, tools that can automate and optimise sales processes are becoming essential.

Zell’s vision reflects a shift toward more intelligent, data driven sales operations, where AI plays a central role in guiding performance and enabling teams to operate at scale.

By turning insights into action and automating the execution of sales management tasks, Zell is aiming to redefine how organisations train, manage, and empower their sales teams in the AI era.
