The company has now secured $1.9 million in funding to expand its product suite and accelerate commercialisation.

The funding round includes private investment along with follow on backing from Petteri Lahtela and Virpi Tuomivaara. Additional support comes from Business Finland through its Deep Tech Accelerator programme. With this latest raise, Audicin’s total funding has reached approximately $3 million.

This mix of private and public funding highlights confidence in the company’s approach to combining neuroscience, audio engineering, and digital health technologies.

Using Sound to Regulate the Nervous System

Audicin’s core technology is based on brainwave entrainment, auditory engineering, and music neuroscience. The company creates real time listening experiences that adapt to physiological signals, helping users improve focus, recover from stress, enhance productivity, and support better sleep.

Unlike traditional wellness tools that require active engagement, Audicin’s system operates in the background. It continuously adjusts audio output based on inputs such as biometric data, time of day, or user context, enabling passive and ongoing nervous system regulation.

This approach aims to make mental and physical optimisation more seamless, integrating support directly into everyday activities without requiring users to pause or change their routines.

Integrating with Apps and Wearables

A key component of Audicin’s offering is its Audicin for Apps software development kit. This SDK allows developers to integrate real time regulation capabilities directly into digital platforms, including health, performance, and consumer applications.

The system is designed to work passively, triggering audio protocols based on in app events or biometric data. It also integrates with widely used wearable devices such as Oura Ring, Apple Watch, Garmin, and Whoop, eliminating the need for additional hardware.

Expanding into Hardware with Sleep Headband

In addition to its software solutions, Audicin is developing a standalone Sleep Headband designed for environments where mobile devices may not be practical or permitted. This includes use cases in healthcare and defence settings.

The headband delivers pre configured recovery programmes based on low frequency brainwave protocols associated with deep sleep. By focusing on offline functionality, the device ensures accessibility in controlled or sensitive environments while maintaining effectiveness.

Growing Traction Across Industries

Audicin is already gaining traction across several sectors, including defence, performance optimisation, and wellness. The company reports increasing user engagement following recent product updates, along with a growing pipeline of enterprise opportunities.

CEO and co founder Laura Avonius emphasised that the company’s vision is to embed nervous system support into everyday environments. This includes scenarios where maintaining focus, recovery, and resilience is particularly challenging.

Scaling Products and Market Reach

The newly raised capital will be used to commercialise Audicin’s core offerings, including its mobile application, Sleep Headband, and Audicin for Apps platform. The company also plans to invest in further product development and expand into new markets and use cases.

As awareness of mental wellbeing and performance optimisation continues to grow, technologies that provide real time support are gaining importance. Audicin’s approach of combining passive audio experiences with physiological data positions it uniquely within this emerging space.
