Robutler is betting that the future of software will look less like a catalogue of paid applications and more like a public creative network where people build, remix and improve tools together. The company has raised $400,000 from Ukrainian focused US venture capital firm ZAS Ventures, marking its first institutional investment and providing capital to develop its platform for collaborative applications and AI agents.
A New Model for Software
Robutler has created a public platform featuring a shared library of professional grade applications covering documents, presentations, design, video, engineering, whiteboards, project management, music and games. Real time collaboration is built into the applications, allowing users to work together without moving between multiple software products.
Unlike traditional software platforms that rely heavily on individual subscriptions, Robutler makes its applications free to use. Users can access existing tools, while makers can publish new applications and allow the community to adapt, remix and improve them.
The company compares its model with YouTube, where creators publish content and benefit from audience engagement. Robutler applies a similar principle to software by rewarding makers when their applications are used.
Rewarding Makers and Remixers
Robutler’s model is designed to create an economic system around community built software. When an application is used, its original maker can earn a share of the resulting revenue. Creators who remix or improve that application can also receive a portion, alongside the makers whose work formed the foundation.
Founder and chief executive Volodymyr Seliuchenko describes the concept as a shift from renting software to building it collectively. The company believes this could encourage more developers, designers and specialists to contribute useful tools without requiring them to build an entire standalone software business.
The approach also allows applications to evolve through repeated use and community contribution, potentially creating a broader library of specialised tools.
Infrastructure for AI Agents
The funding from ZAS Ventures is focused not only on the applications themselves, but also on the infrastructure beneath them. Robutler’s Web of Agents enables applications and AI agents to discover one another, communicate and collaborate using natural language.
The platform also connects with external AI assistants and coding agents, including Claude and Codex. This allows Robutler to function as more than a software marketplace. It aims to become an environment where tools and agents can find the right capabilities, coordinate tasks and complete workflows together.
The company is developing infrastructure around three central requirements: discovery, trust and payments. These capabilities are intended to help agents identify suitable partners, evaluate reliability and exchange value across different applications and organisational boundaries.
Building Open Agent Protocols
Robutler has filed three patent applications covering agent discovery, trust ranking and app usage attribution, the mechanism behind payments to makers. It has also published its TrustFlow research on arXiv.
In addition, the company has developed two open protocols, Agent OAuth and UAMP. These are designed to support identity and messaging between agents operating across different systems and organisations.
Robutler believes such infrastructure will become increasingly important as AI agents move beyond isolated assistants and begin working with one another across the internet.
ZAS Ventures’ First Institutional Check
The $400,000 investment was made across ZAS Ventures’ Fund I and Fund II. The venture firm invests in AI, SaaS and robotics companies founded by Ukrainians, regardless of where those companies operate.
ZAS Ventures has backed more than 25 companies across its two funds since 2023 and was named Investor of the Year 2025 by the Ukrainian Startup Fund. It is also working toward a goal of supporting 30 Ukrainian founded unicorns by 2034.
For Robutler, the investment will help advance its shared software platform and develop the underlying infrastructure required for an emerging internet of AI agents. Its long term ambition is to make software more open, collaborative and economically rewarding for the people who create it.
