Managing rental properties involves far more than collecting rent and signing leases. Property operators must handle resident enquiries, coordinate repairs, track payments and meet compliance requirements, often across hundreds or thousands of homes. UK based technology startup Lette is addressing these challenges with an artificial intelligence platform designed to automate residential property management. The company has raised $6.5 million in seed funding to strengthen its UK operations and prepare for expansion into European markets.
Investors Back Lette’s Growth Plans
The funding round was led by Peak, with participation from Heliad, Foreword VC, Pitchdrive and Adeline. Angel investors also joined the round, including Des Traynor, co founder of customer communications software company Intercom.
Founded by Jakub Rajek and Mohan Sai, Lette is building an AI operating system for residential rental operators across the UK and Ireland. Its target markets include build to rent developments, privately rented housing, student accommodation and single family rental properties.
The new investment will support recruitment across product development, engineering and customer operations. Lette also plans to enter additional European markets in 2027 as it expands its platform and customer base.
Addressing the Challenges of Property Management
Residential property managers frequently rely on spreadsheets, emails and multiple software applications to coordinate daily operations. As housing portfolios grow, these disconnected workflows can create delays, increase administrative workloads and make it harder to provide consistent service to residents.
Lette aims to bring these activities together through AI agents that automate tasks throughout the rental lifecycle. Its platform supports activities ranging from initial property enquiries and lease management to resident communications, maintenance coordination, rent arrears and compliance.
Rather than requiring operators to replace their existing property management software, the platform works alongside current systems. This approach allows businesses to introduce automation while retaining the tools and processes they already use.
AI Agents Manage the Resident Journey
Lette is designed to support residents from their first enquiry about a property through the leasing process and throughout their tenancy.
The platform manages communications through an AI powered application, email, WhatsApp, SMS and voice calls. Its multilingual capabilities and round the clock availability allow residents to receive assistance outside traditional office hours.
The technology also helps property teams manage maintenance requests, coordinating the process from the initial report through to completed repairs. In addition, it can identify missed rent payments, helping operators follow up on potential arrears before outstanding balances become more difficult to resolve.
According to co founder and CEO Mohan Sai, the platform takes a home from the first enquiry to a signed lease and continues supporting residents after they move in.
Helping Operators Manage More Properties
Lette says its technology is already being used across thousands of residential units. The company reports that its platform helps automate resident support and maintenance requests, shorten leasing times and enable property operators to manage larger portfolios more efficiently.
Its customer base includes real estate services firm JLL and large financial institutions, reflecting interest in AI driven operational improvements among major property stakeholders.
Co founder and Chief Product Officer Jakub Rajek has highlighted the importance of reducing repetitive administrative work so property management teams can spend more time on meaningful interactions with residents.
By automating routine tasks, Lette aims to help operators improve responsiveness without increasing staffing at the same pace as their property portfolios.
Preparing for European Expansion
The latest funding provides Lette with resources to strengthen its technology, expand its team and prepare for growth beyond its existing markets.
Its planned European expansion in 2027 will introduce the platform to new residential property operators, although entering additional countries will require adapting to different rental regulations, operating practices and resident expectations.
As property businesses explore AI to improve efficiency, Lette is positioning its platform as an operational layer that connects existing software with automated workflows.
The company’s next challenge will be scaling across markets while maintaining reliable service and effective resident communication. If successful, Lette could help reshape how residential property operators manage homes, support tenants and run increasingly complex rental portfolios.
