Fundcraft Bets on AI to Transform Europe’s Alternative Investment Industry

European digital fund operations provider Fundcraft has raised €12 million in strategic growth financing as it looks to expand across Europe and build out technology for increasingly complex alternative investment structures.

The round was co led by Riverside Acceleration Capital and CCAP Investments, with existing investors 3VC, MiddleGame Ventures and Aperture Capital also participating. The latest financing brings Fundcraft’s total capital raised since its founding in 2021 to €40 million.

Digitalising Fund Operations

Fundcraft provides end to end digital infrastructure and regulated operational services for alternative investment managers. Its platform brings together fund administration, investor operations, portfolio operations, data management and reporting within a unified digital environment.

The company is targeting an industry where many processes continue to depend on manual workflows and fragmented systems. As private market funds become larger and more complicated, managers increasingly need better visibility, automation and standardisation across their operations.

Fundcraft combines its technology platform with operational expertise and regulated services, allowing asset managers to manage fund processes through a single operating model rather than coordinating multiple disconnected providers.

Nearly 300 Funds Supported

Fundcraft has expanded rapidly over the past year. The company now supports nearly 300 funds and more than 20,000 limited partner subscriptions, representing close to €20 billion in fund commitments and subscription targets.

Its growth has also accelerated commercially. Fundcraft signed as many new clients during the first half of 2026 as it did throughout the whole of 2025. More than half of those new customers were mid sized or large alternative asset managers looking to modernise their operating infrastructure or manage complex, multi jurisdictional structures.

The company has built its presence across Luxembourg, France, Spain and the US, while continuing to expand its European footprint.

Expanding in France

France has become an important part of Fundcraft’s European growth strategy. The company opened a Paris office earlier this year and subsequently received authorisation from France’s Autorité des Marchés Financiers to operate as a portfolio management company in its capacity as an alternative investment fund manager.

Fundcraft says its French platform is supporting new fund launches as well as private market structures including ELTIF 2.0, evergreen funds and open ended vehicles designed for cross border distribution.

The company has also been mandated to support several French fund launches representing more than €1 billion in combined commitments and subscription targets.

Scaling AI Capabilities

A significant portion of the new financing will be directed toward Fundcraft’s technology and artificial intelligence strategy.

The company has already introduced automated and AI enabled workflows across selected investor, fund and portfolio operations. Its objective is to use the data generated through the platform to automate more processes while improving transparency, control and operating efficiency.

Fundcraft says the technology is designed to help managers increase operational scale without requiring headcount to grow at the same rate. This is becoming increasingly important as private markets expand into more complex fund structures, higher investor volumes and more demanding regulatory environments.

Targeting Institutional Buyout Managers

The latest funding will also support Fundcraft’s expansion into additional jurisdictions and its efforts to strengthen capabilities for institutional private equity buyout strategies.

CEO and co founder Julien De Mayer said the company wants to address the increasingly sophisticated requirements of institutional asset managers while expanding its operating model organically across jurisdictions, rather than connecting multiple disconnected technology and service platforms.

Riverside Acceleration Capital, which has previously backed Fundcraft’s expansion into France, said the company’s combination of integrated technology, automation and AI could help address the operational challenges created by growing complexity in private markets.

With its latest €12 million financing, Fundcraft is now positioning itself to become a broader digital infrastructure layer for European alternative investment funds, combining regulated services with software and AI as asset managers look for more scalable ways to operate their businesses.
