As quantum computing edges closer to real world applications, one critical challenge remains largely behind the scenes yet essential to progress, how to reliably test increasingly complex quantum chips. Orange Quantum Systems is stepping up to solve this bottleneck, announcing the second closing of its seed round and bringing total funding to €15 million.
Fresh Capital to Accelerate Deep Tech Innovation
The additional investment comes from the European Innovation Council Fund, a major backer of high potential deep tech companies across Europe. This follows an earlier closing of €12 million in 2025, reinforcing confidence in OrangeQS’s role within the rapidly evolving quantum ecosystem.
Alongside the funding, investor Zeina Chebli will join the company’s board, further strengthening its strategic direction as it scales its technology and partnerships.
Addressing a Critical Industry Bottleneck
Quantum computing has made significant strides in recent years, with advances in hardware and algorithms pushing the field closer to commercial viability. However, as quantum chips become more sophisticated, testing them efficiently and accurately has emerged as a major challenge.
Traditional testing methods are not designed to handle the complexity and scale required for quantum systems. Without reliable validation processes, scaling production and ensuring consistent performance becomes increasingly difficult.
OrangeQS is focused on addressing this gap by developing advanced testing solutions that enable precise, scalable, and cost effective evaluation of quantum chips.
Expanding the OrangeQS MAX Platform
At the center of the company’s offering is the OrangeQS MAX system, a fully automated and high speed solution for quantum chip testing. Designed as a turn key platform, it allows manufacturers to perform high volume testing with greater efficiency and accuracy.
The newly secured funding will be used to further enhance this product line, accelerating the development of key technologies that support faster and more reliable testing processes. This includes advancements in cryogenic testing, which is essential for evaluating quantum devices operating at extremely low temperatures.
Launching a Strategic Partnership Program
In parallel with the funding announcement, OrangeQS has introduced the OrangeQS MAX Partnership Program, a collaborative initiative designed to align its technology roadmap with leading quantum chip manufacturers.
The first participants include Rigetti Computing, QuantWare, and Peak Quantum. Each partner will work independently with OrangeQS to influence specific aspects of the platform’s development, ensuring that future solutions meet their unique requirements.
This approach allows companies to protect their intellectual property while contributing to the evolution of industry standard testing technologies.
Building Future Ready Testing Solutions
The partnership program will initially focus on innovations in parallel and non destructive testing methods, both of which are crucial for scaling quantum chip production. By enabling faster and more efficient validation, these technologies will help manufacturers keep pace with the rapid advancements in quantum hardware.
OrangeQS has also outlined a broader vision for the future through a newly published white paper, introducing the concept of utility grade quantum chip testing as a foundation for next generation “dark quantum foundries.” This concept points toward highly automated, scalable manufacturing environments for quantum devices.
Strengthening Europe’s Quantum Ecosystem
With support from the European Innovation Council Fund, OrangeQS is reinforcing its position within Europe’s growing quantum technology landscape. The investment reflects a broader effort to support companies that can address key technical barriers and accelerate the transition from research to commercial deployment.
By focusing on testing and validation, OrangeQS is tackling one of the most critical yet often overlooked aspects of quantum development.
Enabling the Next Phase of Quantum Growth
As the quantum computing industry moves toward large scale production, reliable testing solutions will be essential for ensuring performance and scalability. OrangeQS is positioning itself at the forefront of this transformation, providing the tools needed to validate the next generation of quantum chips.
With expanded funding, strategic partnerships, and a clear technological roadmap, the company is playing a vital role in shaping the future of quantum computing, helping bring this transformative technology closer to widespread adoption.
