From Legacy Complexity to AI Driven Development: DesignVerse Lands Fresh Funding

For many large organisations, modernising legacy software systems remains one of the most difficult and expensive technological challenges. Industries such as aviation, finance, cybersecurity, and government often depend on deeply complex infrastructure where even small software changes must meet strict reliability, compliance, and security standards. Bucharest based startup DesignVerse is aiming to simplify that process through artificial intelligence, and investors are backing its approach with fresh funding.

The company has raised more than $5.5 million in seed funding as demand grows for enterprise AI tools capable of accelerating software development safely within mission critical environments. The round included participation from Begin Capital, Gapminder VC, Underline Ventures, alongside strategic angel investors connected to companies including Adobe, LSEG, and UiPath.

Before securing the seed investment, DesignVerse had already raised $850,000 in pre seed funding to build its initial platform and begin working with early enterprise design partners.

AI Infrastructure for Enterprise Software

DesignVerse was founded by Andrei Manolache, a former product design lead at Oracle, together with software engineer Robert Dragutoiu.

The company develops AI powered infrastructure designed specifically for organisations managing large and highly regulated software ecosystems. Rather than focusing on consumer applications or simple coding assistants, DesignVerse targets enterprise environments where software development involves complex workflows, technical dependencies, and strict engineering standards.

Its platform uses a company’s existing design systems, technical documentation, component libraries, and internal engineering rules to generate software aligned with current architectures and operational requirements. The objective is to reduce the manual handoff process between design teams and software engineers, which often creates delays, inconsistencies, and operational inefficiencies in large organisations.

Solving the Enterprise AI Gap

While AI coding tools have become increasingly popular for rapid prototyping and application development, many enterprises still struggle to integrate AI generated software into production systems safely. Mission critical industries require applications that meet strict governance, compliance, and security requirements, making reliability essential.

DesignVerse says its platform was specifically built to address those concerns by helping enterprises generate production ready applications that integrate smoothly with existing infrastructure rather than creating disconnected experimental tools.

According to Andrei Manolache, large organisations continue to spend considerable time translating product design concepts into production ready software, often slowing development cycles and creating communication gaps between teams.

He explained that DesignVerse removes much of that friction by enabling organisations to generate functional enterprise applications directly from approved design systems while validating workflows and behaviour earlier in the development process. The approach is designed to streamline the transition from product design to deployment while improving collaboration between stakeholders, designers, and engineering teams.

Expanding Across Europe and the US

The newly raised funding will be used to accelerate product development, expand the company’s engineering team, and support growth across enterprise markets in both Europe and the United States.

As businesses increasingly seek ways to modernise legacy infrastructure while adopting AI safely, DesignVerse is positioning itself as part of a growing category of enterprise focused AI infrastructure companies. Its emphasis on integrating AI generated software into existing enterprise systems rather than replacing them entirely reflects a broader trend among organisations seeking practical and secure AI adoption strategies.

Growing Demand for Enterprise AI Modernisation

The rise of generative AI has created significant interest in tools that can accelerate software development, but enterprises continue to prioritise reliability, governance, and compatibility with existing systems. Companies operating in highly regulated industries are particularly cautious about adopting AI solutions that lack transparency or production level safeguards.

By focusing on enterprise grade software generation aligned with internal standards and operational requirements, DesignVerse aims to bridge the gap between experimental AI coding tools and the realities of large scale enterprise software development.
