Enterprise artificial intelligence is moving beyond individual experiments and into the core operating systems of large businesses, and Amsterdam based startup Wonderful is positioning itself at the centre of that shift. The company has raised $550 million in a Series C funding round at a $5 billion valuation, just six months after securing $150 million at a $2 billion valuation, highlighting the rapidly increasing investor appetite for platforms capable of deploying AI across entire organisations.
The latest round was led by existing investor Insight Partners, with participation from Salesforce and existing backers including Index Ventures, IVP, Vine Ventures, 9Yards and Bessemer Venture Partners. Wonderful said the new capital will accelerate product development, expand its global deployment capabilities and support increasing demand from enterprise customers.
From Agents to an AI Operating System
Founded in 2025, Wonderful has evolved from an AI agent company into what it describes as an enterprise AI operating system. Its platform is designed to coordinate AI agents, workflows, applications, integrations and enterprise context across different parts of a business.
Rather than limiting AI deployment to individual departments, Wonderful wants businesses to establish a shared technology layer through which AI can operate across customer service, employee productivity and back office functions.
The company says its AI OS is model agnostic and designed to work with existing technology stacks. This allows enterprises to adopt different AI models as capabilities evolve without having to rebuild their entire infrastructure around a single provider.
Rapid Expansion
Wonderful has scaled rapidly since its launch. According to the company, it now operates in more than 35 markets and has approximately 650 employees globally.
The startup says customers are using its platform to automate end to end workflows, develop AI native applications and coordinate agents across different areas of their organisations. The company works with enterprises across multiple industries, including financial services, healthcare, manufacturing and telecommunications.
Its geographical expansion has also continued throughout 2026, with the company opening operations in markets including India and expanding across Asia Pacific and Europe.
Bringing AI Into Production
A major part of Wonderful’s strategy is its forward deployed engineering model. Its engineers work alongside enterprise teams to take an initial AI use case into production, integrate it with existing systems and then transfer knowledge and capabilities to the customer.
This approach is designed to address one of the biggest challenges facing enterprise AI adoption, moving from promising pilots to reliable systems operating at scale.
Wonderful says its AI OS can be deployed across cloud environments as well as on premises infrastructure. This gives organisations greater flexibility around security, governance and existing technology requirements.
A New Enterprise AI Layer
The company’s platform includes managed workflows, productivity agents, AI native applications and conversational agents. These components can be deployed individually or combined within larger workflows, with shared governance, security and orchestration.
Wonderful believes this model can prevent AI adoption from becoming fragmented across an organisation. Instead of every department purchasing or building separate AI tools, businesses can develop a common foundation that becomes more valuable as additional workflows are added.
CEO and co founder Bar Winkler has compared this emerging AI infrastructure to the role cloud platforms played in the development of modern enterprises. The company believes AI operating systems could eventually become a foundational layer for organisations as businesses increasingly rely on software that performs work rather than simply assisting employees.
Capital to Accelerate Growth
The latest $550 million round brings Wonderful’s total funding to more than $700 million based on its announced Series B and Series C rounds. The company said the fresh capital will be directed toward improving its products, expanding deployment teams and supporting enterprise demand.
The funding also represents a sharp increase in Wonderful’s valuation within a short period, rising from $2 billion in March to $5 billion in September 2026.
With hundreds of AI agents and workflows already operating in production across more than 35 markets, Wonderful is now entering its next phase with ambitions to make its AI operating system a long term foundation for enterprise transformation.
