Publicit Is Building AI Powered Advertising Infrastructure Beyond Google and Meta

Digital advertising has become one of the most powerful growth channels for businesses, but access to premium advertising formats has historically remained concentrated among large brands with significant marketing budgets. While platforms such as Google and Meta made online advertising more accessible, channels like connected TV, radio, digital audio, out of home advertising, and local press have often remained difficult for smaller businesses to access because of fragmented buying processes, agency dependence, and high spending requirements. Barcelona based adtech startup Publicit is developing infrastructure designed to open those advertising channels to small and medium sized businesses through AI driven campaign automation and self service tools.

Publicit Raises €700K to Simplify Omnichannel Advertising for Small Businesses

Publicit has raised €700,000 in a pre seed funding round co led by BStartup Banco Sabadell and Successful Fund.

The round also included participation from AticcoLab and several angel investors from the Spanish technology and media sectors.

The company plans to use the funding to continue developing its advertising infrastructure, strengthen its AI capabilities, and further simplify access to omnichannel advertising for smaller businesses.

Making Premium Advertising More Accessible

Founded by former CERN engineer Gabriel Garcia Asensio alongside Andrés Buendía and Jordi Orteu, Publicit aims to address structural limitations in the advertising industry that have historically restricted access to premium media channels.

Many small and medium sized businesses today still struggle to launch campaigns beyond major digital platforms because advertising across television, audio, radio, or out of home channels often requires agency relationships, manual negotiations, and substantial minimum budgets.

Publicit’s platform is designed to remove those barriers through a unified self service system that allows companies to launch campaigns across multiple advertising channels through a single interface.

Building AI Powered Media Planning Infrastructure

At the centre of Publicit’s platform is an AI powered media planning engine designed to autonomously plan and activate advertising campaigns.

The system allows businesses to launch campaigns across connected TV, radio, digital audio, press, and out of home advertising without minimum spending requirements.

According to the company, the platform simplifies campaign management while enabling smaller businesses to access channels traditionally reserved for larger advertisers.

Publicit has also developed its own European bidding infrastructure capable of processing advertising auctions within milliseconds while continuously applying AI based optimisation throughout campaign delivery.

This infrastructure is designed to improve campaign performance while reducing the operational complexity typically associated with omnichannel advertising.

Responding to Changes in the Advertising Market

The funding comes as the digital advertising industry continues evolving beyond traditional online platforms.

Connected TV advertising in particular has seen rapid growth as streaming platforms increasingly attract advertising budgets previously directed toward traditional television.

At the same time, businesses are looking for more diversified advertising strategies that extend beyond major social media and search platforms.

Publicit believes smaller companies should have easier access to these channels without needing large agencies or enterprise scale budgets.

The company argues that AI driven automation can help democratise access to advanced advertising tools that were previously available only to large brands and sophisticated marketing teams.

Expanding Advertising Infrastructure Across Europe

Publicit plans to continue investing in both infrastructure and AI development as it expands its platform capabilities.

The company’s broader ambition is to create a European advertising infrastructure layer capable of supporting self service omnichannel campaigns for businesses of all sizes.

As advertising increasingly shifts toward automated, data driven, and multi channel strategies, platforms capable of simplifying campaign planning and execution across fragmented media environments are becoming an increasingly important part of the future adtech ecosystem.

Publicit is positioning itself within that transition by combining AI powered planning, real time bidding infrastructure, and simplified access to premium advertising channels into a single platform aimed at making omnichannel advertising more accessible to smaller businesses.
