Partech Launches €300M Fund to Support Growth Stage Impact Startups

As Europe’s impact investing ecosystem matures, a growing number of startups are reaching commercial traction but struggling to secure the capital needed to scale internationally. While early stage venture funding has supported the emergence of impact driven companies, and large private equity funds have targeted later stage opportunities, a critical gap has persisted in the middle. Addressing this imbalance, global investment firm Partech has announced the final close of its inaugural Partech Impact Fund, securing €300 million to support growth stage European B2B technology companies transforming global value chains.

Targeting the scale up funding gap

The Partech Impact Fund has been designed specifically to support impact native companies that have moved beyond the early stage and are entering a new phase of growth. These businesses are typically generating more than €10 million in revenue and require significant capital to expand operations, strengthen organisational structures and enter international markets.

In Europe, this stage has historically been underserved. Venture capital has been well established in funding early innovation, while large buyout funds have focused on mature companies. However, growth stage companies have often lacked access to investors capable of providing both capital and operational expertise.

Partech’s new fund aims to fill this gap by offering investment alongside hands on support to help companies scale effectively.

Focus on impact driven sectors

The fund targets a range of sectors aligned with long term global challenges and economic transformation. These include decarbonisation, sustainable agriculture, mobility, healthcare, education and the circular economy.

By focusing on these areas, the fund aims to back companies that are not only commercially viable but also contribute to more sustainable and efficient value chains across industries.

The portfolio already includes several companies operating in these domains, such as platforms supporting electric mobility infrastructure, digital agriculture solutions, sustainable product design technologies and AI driven industrial management tools.

Combining capital with operational expertise

A key feature of the Partech Impact Fund is its emphasis on operational support. The investment team brings experience from private equity and consulting backgrounds, including roles in organisations such as Bain Capital, McKinsey, Bridgepoint and Goldman Sachs.

This expertise allows the fund to support companies beyond financial investment. As businesses grow, they often face challenges related to governance, organisational structure and scaling operations. The fund works closely with founders and management teams to address these issues and build systems that support long term growth.

This approach reflects a private equity style model adapted to the needs of technology companies at the growth stage.

Supporting the transition to management led organisations

As companies reach higher levels of revenue, they often transition from founder led structures to more complex organisations managed by larger teams. This phase introduces new challenges, including coordination across departments, strategic planning and potential acquisitions.

The Partech Impact team focuses on helping companies navigate this transition. By providing guidance on operational processes and organisational design, the fund aims to help companies scale efficiently while maintaining strategic direction.

This level of involvement is intended to complement the capital provided and accelerate the development of portfolio companies.

Investing in solutions with measurable value

The fund’s investment strategy emphasises backing companies that deliver clear economic value alongside their impact objectives. Rather than focusing on solutions that may be considered optional, the fund prioritises businesses that provide immediate and tangible benefits to their customers.

For example, companies that help reduce costs, improve efficiency or increase productivity while also contributing to sustainability goals are seen as more resilient and scalable.

This approach reflects the belief that impact and financial performance can reinforce each other when products address real operational needs.

Global backing and early deployment

The Partech Impact Fund has attracted a diverse group of institutional investors from Europe, the United States, Asia and Australia. These include both existing partners of the firm and new investors seeking exposure to impact driven growth stage companies.

The fund is already actively investing, with a significant portion of capital deployed across its initial portfolio. This early activity reflects strong demand for growth capital in the impact sector.

Scaling Europe’s impact ecosystem

With €300 million in commitments, the Partech Impact Fund represents one of the larger first time impact focused funds in Europe. Its launch signals growing interest in supporting companies that combine commercial success with measurable societal and environmental outcomes.

By targeting the underfunded growth stage segment and providing both capital and operational expertise, the fund aims to play a key role in scaling Europe’s next generation of impact driven technology companies.
